Back to reality

Ohio is come and gone. Back to Florida. Hot weather, rain and school. But the trip to Ohio for the WGI world championships was AWESOME. I'll start with the bad news, we got 15th in prelims. We were .3 points away from making finals. It was close and  a little of a let down but it was a great end to a great season. We had the same judge that dumped us in Pensacola, so if we had a different judge, the outcome might have been significantly different.

So we got up to Ohio on Wednesday. (I almost missed the flight because I woke up late.) We checked into the hotels, and went to a school to practice for 3 hours. Then we had a good sleep, and on Thursday practiced twice for 2 hours each time and again a good sleep. Friday was the big day and we performed at around 2pm. After our performance we hung out at the hotel for a while after watching the rest of the people in our class perform. Then on Saturday, we watched the world class finals which were PHENOMENAL!!! There are no words to even describe how good some of these groups are.  Then we flew back on Sunday and I slept almost all of that day, and all of Monday. And all of Tuesday. I also have a little bug which I'm not surprised with all the people in the airport etc.. 

I enjoyed this season so much and no matter what I'm doing band next year even though I had been considering not to in order to concentrate more on other things but there's no way in hell i could give this up. Videos from the competition will be up soon.
